Biju Maani, an IT professional for last 13 years, turned a budding filmmaker. Member of SWA(Screen Writers Association, Mumbai, India). Done a professional film making course from Chad Perkins, an Award winning filmmaker from Seattle, USA. First feature film directorial/writer venture is CHUZHAL, completed in 2021, an experimental feature film that is currently streaming on Amazon Prime and other regional OTT platforms. Chuzhal has won few International Film Festival awards including, Best Supernatural Film in "Cannes World Film Festival -2021" and Best Horror Film and Best Script Writer For Feature Films in Port Blair International Film Festival-2021. Also Written and Directed several short films and got them screened in many International film Festivals including Oscars qualifying Bangalore International Film Festival 2020. Won International short film festival awards, inside and outside India, like South Film And Art Cinematography award, Chile, L’Age d’Or International film festival, Tagore International Film Festival, Micro Film Festival Kolkata etc. One of the short films, "ADYATHE MARAVI" is the first Malayalam short film that got screened on any OTT platform like Amazon Prime US&UK and Disney+hotstar.
